In accordance to the Higher Education Department, J&K Government's Notice No. HE/Coll/DPC/A.P./2017 dated 31-01-2017, a One Day Workshop/Orientation course on IQAC/API was organized by the Department of Higher Education, J&K Govt. in GGM Science College Jammu, on 6th of February 2017.

In accordance to the Higher Education Department, J&K Government's Notice No. HE/Coll/DPC/A.P./2017 dated 31-01-2017, a One Day Workshop/Orientation course on IQAC/API was organized by the Department of Higher Education, J&K Govt. in GGM Science College Jammu, on 6th of February 2017.
Since UGC and Department of Higher Education had given guide lines for the placements of Assistant Professors with AGP 8000 to 9000 i.e. in the pay band IV and re-designated as Associate Professor. In order to make the stakeholders aware of these guidelines, issued by UGC from time to time i.e. 28 June, 2010 and later modified in July 2016 and how to fill and evaluate the PBAS Proforma, the Department of Higher Education organised aforesaid workshop.
As per the direction of Higher Education all the principals along Coordinators of IQAC of all 46 colleges of Jammu Division attended the workshop. The chief guest on the occasion was Dr. Renu Goswami, Director Colleges, Higher Education Department, J&K Govt. and the resource persons were Ms. Ginny Dogra, Deputy Director DIQA and Dr. Rainoo Bhai Assistant Registrar CDC, University of Jammu, Jammu.
Prof. R.S. Jamwal welcomed the august gathering and explained the aims and objectives of the Workshop. Director Madam apprised the participants of the relevance and importance of the workshop, wished the workshop to be fruitful and ended her address by declaring open the workshop.
The workshop comprised of two sessions. The first one, where in Madam Ginny Dogra, Dy. Director DIQA, the resource persons, gave details on UGC Regulations 2010 issued on the June 2010 regarding Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS) & Academic Performance Indicators (API) scores under Career Advancement Scheme (CAS).
The post lunch session was taken over by the 2nd resource person, Dr. Rainoo Bhai, where she gave detailed account of API’s 4th amendment of UGC regulations released on 11th July, 2016 for filling up of PBA’s 2016.
Participants were given case studies for perusal and deliberations on various queries were made, followed by detailed discussion.
Workshop ended up with a cup of tea after the distribution of certificates to all the participants. Two students of the College, Ms Ayushi Sharma of Sem-II and Mr Kunal Saini of Sem-IV conducted the proceedings of the Workshop.
