Housed in an independent block, the college library is one of the oldest libraries in northern India. It has a rich and rare collection of books, some even dating back to the year 1868. A rare photo collection of the visit of the royal highness, the Prince and Princess of Wales, dating back to December 1905 is a pride possession of the college library. The college library has a collection of over 67,000 books pertaining the varied range of subjects being offered in the college. The library facilities are upgraded every year in terms of making available latest titles on all subjects taught in the college. The library subscribes to as many as 46 magazines, newspapers and journals relating to topics of general nature and specialized fields of science. It also maintains a text book section (book bank) from which students can borrow text books over a longer period. Day to day functioning of the library is taken care by qualified library staff. The reading room of the library is being presently utilized as girl's common room; A separate girls common room is under construction and shall become operational in near future. However, a separate reading room is also functional in the Electronics block, adjacent to the library.
Infibnet e-resource facility available in the college provides access to over 2100 electronic journals as well as 51000 e -books including e-news letters , e-magazines etc., related to science , literature and various othe subjects of general interest.

Books will be issued to the students on production of the library borrower's card which is issued by the librarian to all bonafide students at the start of the academic session after submitting the Library Form. In order to avoid any misuse of the card a student should keep it in safe custody and report to the librarian in case it is lost/misplaced. A duplicate card will be issued on a payment of Rs.100 after due verification and a damaged card is replaced by surrendering it against a payment of Rs. 5. |

Books lost or damaged in any way shall have it be replaced by the borrower failing which double the cost of the books shall be realized. The borrower should satisfy himself/herself about the sound condition of the book before leaving the counter.

Books are issued for a period of seven days only and a fine of rupee one per day per book shall be charged after the due date.
|
|
|
 |
Reference books, rare books and current periodicals scan be consulted only within the college library.
|
|
|
 |
Students can borrow three books from the library at a time.
|
|
|
 |
Students shall not take their personal books or belongings inside the library.
|
|
|
 |
Students are required to observe complete silence in the library and reading room.
